For Beal City Public School Teachers:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXPORTING YOUR CLASS GRADES FROM THE
ECLASS GRADE PROGRAM TO A WORD DOCUMENT
 

THE SET-UP:

1. In E-Class under File, find “Export”. Hit “New”, name the file “Assignments”, and then check the boxes to “remember” the location and file name. Click Ok

2. Next, use the pull-down list to find “Assignment Parts”. Double click on “Description” and then on “Points Possible”.

3. Next, you need to format these two parts (Description & then Points.) Highlight each one in turn, and hit edit button. Enter the settings shown below.

Highlight “Description” & hit Edit or double click “description”
Settings: Max. Field- 40, Delimited- Tab 9, Justify- Left, Fill Char- Space 32. Click OK
Highlight “Points Possible” & hit Edit or double click on “Points Possible”
Settings: Max. Field- 5, Delimited- CR 13, Justify- Center, Fill Char- Space 32. Click OK

4. Push “Save As” button and save this as a Filter file named “work” (or what ever you want to call it—just remember the name and where you saved it). Click OK

You should now see your original window from step 2 above. Close it.

5. You should now see the first “Export to” box. Create another New filter by hitting “New” and name it “WebGrade”, and then check to “remember” the location and file name. Click OK

6. In the “Student Parts” list (use the pull-down list if you are not in “Student Parts”) and find “ID” and click it twice. Find “scores” and click it twice. Then put two of the one called “Grade (Mark)” in there by clicking on it twice, two times. One of these will be to show the grades by percentage and the other will be to show the letter grades.

7. Just as before you will need to format each of these parts as shown below. Click OK after each is set.

Highlight “ID” and push “edit” or click “ID” twice.
Settings: Max Field- 7, Delimited- Tab 9, Justify- left
Fill char- Space 32
Highlight “Scores” and push “edit” or click “Scores” twice.
Settings: Latest Grading Periods, points, & convert special scores
Score Format: Max Field- 4, Delimit- comma 44, Justify- None
Field Format: Max Field-65, Delimit- Tab 9, Justify- None
Highlight “Grade (Mark)” and push “edit” or click “Grade (Mark)” twice
Settings: Grade Type- Overall Summary, Appearance- percent
Field Format: Max Field- 5, Delimit- Tab 9, Justify- None
Highlight “Grade (Mark)” and push “edit” or click “Grade (Mark)” twice
Settings: Grade Type- Overall Summary, Appearance- description
Field Format: Max Field- 5, Delimit CR 13, Justify- left, Fill Char- Space 32

8. As you did before, save this as a Filter file. Name this one “WebGrades” and again, remember the name and where you saved it.
